In Nov 2025, Computer Shiksha (CS) launched the Foundational Course on Artificial Intelligence (AI) catering to Class 1 to 8 (English version). The course consists of 12 self-learning videos, each of around 35 minutes.

After China, India becomes the 2nd country in the world to have a Foundation AI course designed for class 1 to 8.
Year 2026-27
After releasing AI foundational video course (Hindi version) in March 2026, CS launched AI course - Vibe Coding with Offline Tools in Hindi in July 2026. The course consists of 13 self-learning videos, each around 35-40 minutes. The English version will be released in August 2026.
Vibe Coding with Offline Tools
- End to End learning: In the course, the tools used are - Visual Studio code, LM studio and Qwen Large Language Model. The course teaches them how to download these tools, configure them, write prompts, how to improve the prompts and how to build the applications, making the students independent in the whole learning process. Internet is required only once for downloading the required tools.
- 100% Offline and Open source: The tools and LLM models are chosen that work offline and require no license, paid subscriptions nor even Internet.
- Prompt Engineering at its Core: The students will learn how to do coding and make projects just by prompt engineering - no traditional syntax required.
- Students do not need to learn coding.
India's First AI course for School Students: This would be the first course in India that teaches vibe coding to school students. Especially since the course is being made available in both Hindi and English language, it would really benefit students across India, especially in under-served and remote regions.
